For teachers and other interested adult learners. Seminar explores variety of Holocaust themes, corresponding to annual theme of the City of Akron Holocaust Arts and Writing Contest. Includes, keynote presentation, historical background, resources, survivor testimony. Held annually in the fall.

Facing History and Ourselves – Cleveland Office
Through rigorous investigation of the events that led to the Holocaust and other recent examples of genocide and mass violence, students in a Facing History class learn to choose knowledge over misinformation, compassion over prejudice or bullying, and participation over indifference or resignation.
